Private 1:1 accountability coaching for successful men

You’ve built a life.Why doesn’t it feel like home?

There’s a version of you your family hasn’t seen in years. You know it. They know it. Nobody says it at dinner. This is private 1:1 accountability coaching that fixes that—not motivation, not another course. One honest conversation a week, real accountability in between—by video, anywhere in the U.S.

10 minutes, 28 questions, completely private. Your answers never leave your browser, and there’s nothing to sign up for.

Realignment Matrix mirror mark, with a distorted grid becoming an open path

The guy who handles everything was built for a reason. Nobody told him the war ended.

The pattern beneath the problem

You’re not burned out. You’re homesick.

You took the vacation—and by day two you were answering email by the pool.

Rest isn’t the fix, because tired was never the problem. Here’s the part nobody tells you: the same identity that built all this—the provider, the closer, the guy who handles it—is the thing that won’t let you stop. It quit being a role a long time ago. Now it’s just who you are, and it’s running the show. That’s why what got you here won’t get you to the next phase—the armor that built the first mountain is the thing standing in front of the second.

01

Your phone is in your hand before your feet hit the floor. Not because something’s on fire—because the quiet feels worse.

02

You sat through the recital, the game, the dinner. How much of you was actually in the room?

03

A great quarter buys you a day of peace. Maybe two. Then the scoreboard resets, and so do you.

04

When someone asks how you’re doing, you say “busy.” It’s the truest thing you tell anyone all week.

You’re not crazy. This is what a misaligned life feels like. And more winning doesn’t fix it—you’ve been testing that theory for years.

Winning without arriving

“I built the Realignment Matrix because I needed it first.”

I’ll keep this simple. By my early thirties I was a self-made multimillionaire—and in 2021 a market downturn took most of our life savings and got me close enough to bankruptcy that I stopped answering certain calls.

Losing the money isn’t the part that stays with me. What stays with me is what I saw when I finally looked up: my wife and I had become roommates. My kids had learned not to interrupt me. I was providing for a family I was never actually with.

The Realignment Matrix is the system I built to get back. It worked, and now it’s what I do—from Metro Detroit, with men all over the country. The whole story is here.

The Hero’s Journey · your version

You already know this story.

It’s the Hero’s Journey—the same shape as every movie you’ve ever liked. Guy leaves home, wins the fight, then spends years trying to get back. The oldest version is Homer’s Odyssey: a man who won his war and still took ten years to make it home. Sound familiar? Five stops on that map, and you’ve probably been circling a couple of them for a while.

01Armor

See the armor you built

You built somebody who could handle it. The provider, the closer, the guy who never cracks. It worked—and now it won’t shut off, even at your own kitchen table. Most guys can’t see it until someone says it out loud. That’s my job.

02Island

Name where you keep landing

Odysseus kept washing up on islands that felt good and cost him years. Yours is probably the office, the phone at 11pm, or the next deal. It works tonight. You pay for it later.

03Underneath

Face what you keep dodging

In the story he has to go down to the underworld before he can go home. For you it’s the conversation you keep putting off, or the thing you’ve never said out loud. We go at your pace, and never for an audience.

04Ithaca

Decide what you’re going back to

Ithaca wasn’t impressive—a rocky island with his family on it. But it was home, it was the purpose. Yours might be dinner at 6 with your phone in another room. Name it, or you’ll keep rowing in circles.

05Crossing

Do one honest thing

Not a plan. One action, this week, that you’ll answer for next week. Then another. Nobody is going to carry you home—you have to row your own boat.

We start at the destination and work backward. Not winning for more trophies—winning with purpose: your definition of success, nobody else’s. Once your Ithaca is named, we re-engineer the route from where you actually are—a clear map, less noise, one Crossing at a time. I keep it on one page—your Odyssey Map—updated as we work: the armor you’re wearing, the island you keep landing on, what you’re heading back to, and the one action you owe me this week. Most men have never seen their pattern and their destination written down in one place. That’s the point.

Inner Odyssey Assessment

Your pattern is older than your latest problem.

The assessment does not reduce your life to how you felt during the last 30 days. It compares what is active lately with what repeats under pressure and what has followed you across longer seasons of life.

Take the Assessment Private • Adaptive • 28 questions maximum
01
Lately

What is active now and where the cost is most visible.

02
Under pressure

The protection and relief that appear when something important feels threatened.

03
Across time

The route that has returned through different seasons, roles, or relationships.

Your result is a working hypothesis—not a diagnosis or fixed identity.

A mirror, not a pedestal

I will not tell you who to become.

You don’t need me to be the authority on your life. You need help hearing what you already know, seeing what you keep dodging, and catching the patterns you can’t spot from inside your own story. I won’t make your decisions for you. I’ll make it harder for you to lie to yourself about them.

What careful listening can sound like
“Every time you tell me nobody appreciates you, you follow it with a list of what you’ve done. You hear that? What’s the list for?”

What I do

  • Listen without rushing to solve
  • Reflect repeated language and stories
  • Notice gaps between values and behavior
  • Ask direct, respectful questions
  • Hold you accountable for what you choose

What remains yours

  • Your decisions
  • Your willingness to tell the truth
  • Your responsibility for repair
  • Your action between conversations
  • Your definition of home

The private coaching relationship

You’ve had insights before. This time somebody checks.

01

Apply

Tell me what’s off, what you’ve been avoiding, and why now.

02

Talk

We have a private fit conversation—with me, not a closer. This only moves forward if the relationship is right for both of us.

03

Map the pattern

We listen for recurring chapters, probable armor, familiar islands, costs, and responsibilities.

04

Choose the Crossing

You decide on one meaningful action that interrupts the old response and moves toward home.

05

Practice the return

We review what happened, notice which armor appeared, and continue the work without self-deception.

One thing you won’t find here: testimonials. This is a different kind of coaching. Every conversation is confidential, and I don’t ask the men I work with for reviews—I’m focused on helping them, not on using them to push my business. If you want proof, it’s the fit call: ask me anything and you’ll get the real answer.

Readiness matters

This work asks something of you.

Who is it for? Men who are stuck—or building something real and calling what they feel “burnout.” Most of the time burnout is misalignment with a work costume on. The man who got you here is not the man who gets you to the next phase, and pushing him harder just digs the rut deeper. We find what’s actually in the way—the armor, the island you keep landing on—and clear it, so the next phase has somewhere to go. Because that’s the thing about the treadmill: the running felt good, and it cost you a hundred walks with your family. You don’t have to stop running. It just doesn’t have to be in one place anymore.

You don’t need it figured out. You need to be willing to look at your part—and then actually do something before the next call.

This may be for you if

  • Your private life does not match your public results
  • You’re building something real, and the push that built it has started costing you the rest of your life
  • You’ve called it burnout for a year, and rest hasn’t fixed it
  • Information alone has not changed the pattern
  • You can hear an uncomfortable observation without running
  • You will act between conversations
  • You want accountability without surrendering authority

This is not the right setting if

  • You want someone else to make your decisions
  • You want reassurance without responsibility
  • You want marketing tactics or a business plan—this is about the man running the business, not the business
  • You are unwilling to practice outside the conversation
  • You need emergency support or clinical mental-health care

That doesn’t mean something’s wrong with you. It means this isn’t the right tool right now.

Your next honest step

The way back begins with an honest look.

If this page felt like a mirror, that feeling is the application. The form just gives it somewhere to go. And don’t wait for a quieter season—there isn’t one. The pattern doesn’t retire on its own; it keeps collecting: quarters, anniversaries, ball games, chances you assumed would come back around. The numbers are public—see exactly what this costs before you apply.
